| Summer Associate Program |
The Summer Associate program at Trautmann & Associates, LLC offers an opportunity to the best and brightest law school students in the country to experience the practice of law in a challenging environment and to continue their legal education by experiencing client contact and judicial proceedings.
Each Summer Associate is assigned a mentor attorney who will guide and assist the summer associate by helping identify areas of interest, pursue assignments in those areas and provide insight and experience into the work as well as social aspects of being a practicing attorney. Work assignments vary but will include research of legal issues and drafting memoranda and first drafts of legal documents. Summer Associates will also attend client meetings to begin their education on interacting with clients. They will also travel with their mentor attorney to judicial proceedings and out of office meetings such as depositions and document reviews.
The Summer Associate Program also includes a series of one-on-one lunch meetings with attorneys in practice areas throughout the firm. It is believed that a summer associate's exposure to other areas of practice will make for a more rewarding experience and education.
The Summer Associate Program is available to individuals currently studying law at accredited law schools. Recruitment occurs during the prior fall and winter.
