Our office has filed a lawsuit challenging the constitutionality of the New Jersey law requiring decals on license plates of teen drivers. It is our belief that this law is violative of both the United States Constitution and the New Jersey Constitution. It amounts to both an unreasonable search and violates the equal protection clause. If left to stand there is no doubt that other States in the Union will likewise create bad law.
